Business Bay Square Owner to Build Mega Project at Tatu City
Business Bay Square (BBS), owned by renowned developer Abdiweli Hassan, is one of East and Central Africa’s largest shopping and entertainment destinations and a symbol of market-leading real estate development in the region. Building on this success, Mr. Hassan is now delivering a landmark 60-acre mixed-use project at Tatu City Special Economic Zone in partnership with Rendeavour, representing an investment of over KES 65 billion in high-quality homes, retail, offices, logistics facilities, a petrol station and a mosque, all set alongside 30 acres of parks and recreation areas, with construction expected to commence within one year and full completion planned over a 10-year development timeline.
“BBS Mall changed how people viewed Eastleigh, showing that thoughtful development can reshape neighbourhoods and improve how people live and work. Now, the future of development is moving beyond the city centre, where there’s space to build holistic communities with everything people need – schools, offices, entertainment, shops, and extensive recreation. Tatu City offers exactly that: a well-planned environment free from congestion and the hassles of commuting.” – said Business Bay Square Founder and Chairman Abdiweli Hassan, OGW, EBS.
