Tatu Wildlife Sanctuary is the natural heart of Tatu City -a defining green landmark that shapes the city’s identity and long-term sustainability. Planned as an essential ecological anchor, it strengthens environmental balance and support the city’s future resilience.

The Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected ecological zone dedicated to conserving biodiversity, with a special focus on the endangered pangolin. It safeguards native habitats while functioning as a centre for conservation, education, and eco-tourism, raising public awareness of the urgent need to protect this vulnerable species. The sanctuary will deliver a distinctive tourism experience through guided safari tours, a cultural visitor centre, and dedicated learning spaces. An integrated safari lodge will provide short-stay accommodation, conference facilities, and unique venues for events.

Developed from the outset as a hub for conservation and education, the sanctuary operates in partnership with Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) as a leading rehabilitation facility for endangered pangolins. It offers safe habitats, specialised care, and research-led programmes that contribute meaningfully to the preservation of Kenya’s natural heritage.

Beyond conservation, the sanctuary offers an authentic African experience for both local and international visitors. Positioned as a major attraction within Nairobi and Tatu City, it seamlessly blends nature, learning, and recreation within an accessible urban environment.

Visitors experience an urban safari along more than 4km of trails, traversing grasslands, wetlands, and forest landscapes.
