The Appolonia Development Company, in collaboration with Rendeavour, Africa’s largest urban developer, and the people of Appolonia, have commissioned a newly refurbished Community Health Post at Appolonia, a community in the Kpone Akatamanso district of the Greater Accra region.

In May 2014, Appolonia Development Company cut sod for the rehabilitation of the Community Health Post, as part of its CSR plans for the community. The project covered the refurbishment of the health post and the provision of healthcare infrastructure that will enable it become an accredited National Health Insurance Services provider.

According to Country Head, Rendeavour, Mr. Anthony Okyere; “We are delighted that this rehabilitation has taken place and feel it is testament to the benefits that a development such as Appolonia, City of Light can bring to the local community and the region.”

The newly refurbished health centre now boasts electricity, water reservoir, a maternity ward, a medical refrigerator and other essential healthcare infrastructure that would enable the health post to provide National Health Insurance services to the community members.

Mrs Patience Mamattah, District Health Director expressed her excitement about the project saying it will improve healthcare delivery to the community. She advised the community members to make good use of the facility and properly maintain it to achieve its intended purpose.
