Guinness, one of the most successful beer brands in the world, is partnering with Appolonia City to celebrate Ghana’s 61 years of independence. As part of the promotion, Guinness fans can win a free plot of land at Appolonia City, the new city development in Greater Accra.

Sixteen lucky winners will be able to sip Guinness in the serene surroundings of Appolonia City, free from the hustle and bustle of central Accra. The high-quality infrastructure at Appolonia City – from well-planned roads and guaranteed power to parks and schools on your doorstep – is perfectly suited to Guinness fans, who demand only the very best.

“Appolonia City is proud to partner with Guinness, one of the most iconic brands in the world,” said Bright Owusu-Amofah, CEO of Appolonia City. “Not only do we welcome the 16 welcome winners of Guinness’ Independence Day promotion, we invite all Guinness fans in Ghana and around the world to call Appolonia City their home in Ghana.”

“In Ghana, land is said to have three owners – the ancestors; those living now; and future generations,” said Lesego Lebogang Babe, Guinness Marketing Manager. “So we are giving 16 individuals the chance to start a new legacy by winning their own piece of Ghana – a plot of land.

Guinness’ special limited edition pack, with Guinness temporarily named “GHANAIAN,” celebrates those ancestors who have ensured Ghana is made of more, and to inspire those living now to build for future generations, Babe said.

For a chance to win, Guinness drinkers should look out for limited edition GHANAIAN promotional packs of Guinness in bars and in store and SMS the code under the crown to 2125 for a chance to win.

The winners of plots at Appolonia City will be announced weekly by Guinness. All the latest news about the promotion can be found the Guinness Facebook page, www.facebook.com/Guinness.Gh and in the press.
