Simon has over 30 years of experience in investment and capital markets. He began his career in New Zealand, focusing on investment analysis and fund management. In 1992, Simon moved to London to join Credit Suisse First Boston.

By 1997, Simon had returned to his hometown of Liverpool to become the Chief Executive of the Merseyside Pension Fund, one of the UK’s largest public sector pension funds, managing assets exceeding £5 billion.

In 2002, he co-founded Midas Capital Partners Limited, where he served as chief executive and majority owner. The firm achieved significant success and was sold in late 2007.

Throughout his career, Simon has also held several non-executive director roles, including positions at Standard Life Private Equity, London Scottish Bank and the Merseyside Special Investment Fund, as well as various charitable organisations. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from University of Sheffield. Today, Simon divides his time between homes in Italy and England.
