President Ruto visits Tatu City

H.E. Dr. William Ruto, President and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces of Kenya, paid his first visit to Tatu City Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the official opening of Twiga’s Agritech distribution centre.

“The confidence that Tatu City has shown in our country by establishing this huge private facility … we commend you and your team, and we wish you great success in your ventures,’’ said President Ruto.

Moses Kuria, Cabinet Secretary for Industry, Trade and Enterprise Development, commended the progress that Tatu City has made.

“We have 13 privately owned Special Economic Zones in this country, and, among them, very few have taken off. Tatu City is one of them, and I’m very proud of that. We are going to work with Tatu City to create a benchmark for other private special economic zones.”
