Tatu City open day draws record visitors

Hundreds of visitors flocked to Tatu City’s annual open day, touring the new city’s completed infrastructure, schools and homes, which are transforming the landscape of Kiambu County with unprecedented Kenyan and international investment.

The event, attended by over 200 property enthusiasts, showcased Tatu City’s amenities and vibrant community that is open to all income groups. At Tatu City, school campuses by Nova Pioneer and Crawford International attract over 2,000 students daily. More than 5,000 homes are under construction and development by noted homebuilders Lifestyle Properties, Unity Homes and Karibu Homes, as well as by Tatu City itself.

“Home buyers are a lot more discerning nowadays, seeking much more than just a home,” said Beatrice Njeri, Head of Residential Sales at Tatu City. “The amenities, comprehensive infrastructure and unparalleled services offered by Tatu City ensure residents are provided with a real lifestyle change.”

With Nova Pioneer and Crawford International within eyesight of Tatu City homes, the children of Tatu City’s first residents are able to walk to school.

Businesses are also benefiting from Tatu City’s convenience, evidenced by more than 45 companies setting up in Tatu Industrial Park, attracted by the city’s proximity to Thika Super Highway and the Northern and Eastern Bypasses. Many business owners are also buying and building homes at Tatu City.

“As a property owner in Kijani Ridge, Tatu City’s buy and build development, I am excited to see infrastructure work going on full steam,” said Gikonyo Gitonga, CEO of Axis Real Estate Limited.

Currently in its third phase, Kijani Ridge is selling out fast. The enclave sits on more than 250 acres of land and has a total of 439 spacious and individually serviced half-acre and quarter-acre plots. A Valentine’s Day special offer is still available to new Kijani Ridge buyers.

Tatu City recently awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to Stecol Corporation, a global engineering and construction group, for residential infrastructure, including roads, water, sewerage, street lighting and stormwater management.
